On arrival at the Nursery parents and visitors have to ‘buzz’ an intercom system to enter the main building, which then only allows access to our permanently staffed reception area. Once inside, parents or guardians are accompanied through either of our secure coded exits to whichever room their child is in.

For Prep-school children, as we have a separate building, again there is an intercom system where parents or guardians will be met by a member of staff before being allowed access to the room itself.

At Hartford Old School nursery we also operate a ‘password’ system whereby should your child need to be collected by another family member or trusted friend, this password can be logged on your child’s file and will enable us to ensure your child is only released into the care of the appropriate nominated person. Should anyone arrive to collect a child without prior arrangement, a child’s parents will automatically receive a phone call to confirm the collection before allowing your child to leave our premises.
